Differences Between PHP-2026 Massage Chair and PHP-2027 Massage Chair

We get this question quite often, and the differences are fairly minor. There are some aesthetic differences, mostly in the arms; the PHP-2026 has more of a traditional armchair design, with wide, generously upholstered arms. The arms on the PHP-2027 are slightly thinner and less traditional.
The only real substantive difference is in the seat massage. Both chairs incorporate seat massage, they just use different methods to deliver it. The PHP-2027 uses a couple of air bags in the seat, while the PHP-2026 uses a series of vibration massage motors. Another minor difference is in the calf massage; the PHP-2026 has slightly larger massage paddles.

Note: Currently, RelaxTheBack's website lists this chair at $3,495.00.

Where Can I find The PHP-2027 Premier Massage Chair?

The PHP-2027 is only sold by one retail chain called RelaxTheBack. It is a slightly older version of the PHP-2026 massage chair for sale on our site.

What is massage chair Body Scanning?

Several companies now have what is called body scanning technology. Body scanning technology allows the massage chair to actually customize its program for each individual. The chair is equipped with software that allows the roller arms to sense where the shoulders end and the neck begins. The chair then automatically adjusts to accommodate different body types. This body scan technology has existed for a few years, but has been improved upon recently. For the best results, be sure to find the massage chair with the most advanced computer scanning technology.

Does the number of motors make a difference?

Yes. The more motors a chair has, the less stress will be placed on each motor. This helps to extend the life of the machine, by spreading the workload out over several different motors.

Is the number of rollers important?

It is important, but sometimes hard to get a handle on. Some companies count each individual wheel as a roller, while other companies, the more honest ones, count each individual moving part as a roller. If you have one roller arm with eight tiny wheels, that should be considered one roller, not eight. If a roller count sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
